BNP Paribas Real Estate has promoted Richard Stevens to Head of London Lease Advisory, strengthening its senior leadership team as occupiers and investors continue to navigate evolving commercial property market conditions.
Stevens (main picture) brings more than 20 years of experience in commercial property advisory, specialising in rent reviews, lease renewals, re-gearing and lease surrenders. He has particular expertise across industrial and logistics assets, as well as the London and South East office markets.
In his new role, Stevens will continue to work alongside Leighton Thomas, Head of Lease Advisory & Professional Services, helping to shape the strategic direction of the London team while leading the firm’s London Business Space Lease Advisory offering.
He has built a strong reputation for handling complex lease advisory matters and dispute resolution, including acting as an expert witness in lease renewal and rent review cases.
COST MANAGEMENT
The appointment comes at a time when lease advisory services remain in demand as landlords and occupiers seek to manage costs, optimise space requirements and respond to changing market dynamics.

Leighton Thomas, Head of Lease Advisory & Professional Services at BNP Paribas Real Estate, says: “Richard’s promotion reflects both his technical expertise and his longstanding contribution to our business.
“He has consistently demonstrated outstanding leadership in London Business Space while also helping shape technical excellence across our national Lease Advisory service line. I am confident he will make a significant contribution to the continued growth and success of our London advisory business.”
ONGOING INVESTMENT
Stevens adds: “I’m taking on this new role at such an important time for our London business. Lease advisory remains critical for occupiers and investors navigating evolving market conditions, and I look forward to working with Leighton and the wider team to further strengthen our offer in London while continuing to deliver expert advice to our clients.”
The promotion forms part of a wider series of senior appointments across the business. It follows the appointment of Liz Cain as Head of Birmingham and the arrival of Sam Vyas as Senior Director within the firm’s national Industrial & Logistics Agency team.
BNP Paribas Real Estate said the appointments reflect its ongoing investment in specialist expertise and leadership across its UK property advisory business.
