Armalytix has appointed Arvin Razon as its first Head of Legal and Compliance as it expands its Source of Funds and digital identity verification services across the property sector.
Razon (main picture) will oversee the firm’s compliance framework as its technology is increasingly used across conveyancing, lending and estate agency for anti-money laundering (AML), identity and financial verification.
His remit includes FCA compliance, UK GDPR, AML and Know Your Customer oversight, as well as Armalytix’s digital identity and ISO 27001 certifications.
He will also become the company’s main point of contact with the FCA and Information Commissioner’s Office.
REGULATORY EXPERIENCE
Razon has more than 10 years’ experience across Open Banking, payments and fintech and joins following senior legal and compliance roles at Paddle, Thought Machine, Brankas and ING Bank.
A qualified solicitor in England and Wales, he has previously worked on AML and KYC programmes, data protection, cybersecurity and regulatory compliance.
Armalytix is an FCA-registered Account Information Service Provider and provides technology designed to help property professionals verify client information, including Source of Funds.
Richard McCall, Chief Executive Officer at Armalytix, says: “Our clients need to know that the foundations underneath our platform are as robust as the products themselves.
“Compliance has been at the core of Armalytix since day one, and this is about making sure our growth never outpaces our governance.”
Razon adds: “Armalytix is at an increasingly important intersection of Open Banking, identity and financial crime prevention, as the property sector moves to modernise risk verification.”
He says he will also work on how Open Banking and digital identity are developed and standardised across conveyancing, lending and estate agency.
