Stags returns to Zoopla in three-year deal

Stags has returned to Zoopla after signing a three-year partnership aimed at generating more valuation leads and instructions across the South West.

The independent agency, which operates more than 25 offices and locations across Dorset, Somerset, Devon and Cornwall, will use the portal to market its listings and target Zoopla’s growing homeowner audience.
The agreement will also give Stags greater exposure to buyers outside the South West, an important source of demand for the agency’s markets.

According to Zoopla, 17% of applicants looking to buy in the South West currently live outside the region, providing Stags with an additional route to potential movers from London and the Home Counties.

INSTRUCTIONS FOCUS

Zoopla says its homeowner audience now exceeds six million subscribers and has doubled over the past two years.

The portal estimates that homes listed by its South West homeowner audience have generated more than £200m in potential sales commission for agents.

Lee Flay (main picture, right), Partner at Stags, says: “As a valuation-led business, generating quality opportunities and securing instructions is central to what we do.

“Zoopla’s strength in delivering high-quality valuation leads was a key factor in our decision to partner with them. Their continued investment in their platform and product offering aligns with what we look for in a marketing partner, while their strong presence in London provides valuable exposure to those considering a move to the South West.”

Stags already targets people moving from the capital through its partnership with The London Office.

PORTAL COMPETITION

Paul Whitehead (main picture, left), Chief Executive Officer of Zoopla, says the decision by Stags to return to the platform is an endorsement of its focus on generating valuation opportunities for agents.

He says: “We’re delighted to welcome them back and are focused on working closely with the Stags team to deliver a strong return on investment.

“This new partnership is one of many for Zoopla and further evidence of the momentum we are building and the value we are delivering to an industry increasingly focused on value for money rather than headline traffic volumes.”

Whitehead adds that Zoopla’s growing homeowner audience is becoming an increasingly important source of potential instructions for agents.
