Professional guarantor service provider RentGuarantor has appointed Manu Day as Senior Director of New Business for the Living Sector as the company looks to strengthen its position within the expanding build-to-rent and wider rental market.
Day (main picture) joins with more than a decade of experience across the commercial property sector, having previously worked with clients including Greystar, Canary Wharf Group, Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield and Cushman & Wakefield.
During previous roles at CoStar and Social Value Portal, he led partnerships with major consultancies, institutional investors and asset managers.
RentGuarantor provides professional guarantor services designed to help landlords and letting agents reduce tenancy risk while supporting tenants who may struggle to provide a suitable UK-based guarantor.
BIG OPPORTUNITY
The company says demand for guarantor services continues to grow as the rental market evolves under the Renters’ Rights Act and institutional living sector expansion.
Day says: “The Renters’ Rights Act has brought the biggest changes to the lettings industry in a lifetime and with the Living Sector expanding at pace, there is a big opportunity to enhance the experience of tenants even further.
“My immediate priority in this changed landscape is crucially, to directly support our landlord and operator partners with de-risking their assets, and to improve the financial wellbeing of our tenant customers living in or hoping to live in a purpose-built rented home.”
GUARANTOR OF CHOICE

Bruce Evans, Chief Commercial Officer at RentGuarantor, adds: “RentGuarantor breaks down one of the biggest barriers that students and renters face, unlocking tenancies for people who might have been overlooked such as students with no UK-based guarantor, self-employed people or retirees.
“Manu’s knowledge and experience will reinforce our position as the professional guarantor of choice.”
RentGuarantor said it has worked with more than 1,900 lettings agents since launching in 2018 and has supported thousands of tenants across the UK rental sector.
