Berkeley has passed the 100-sales mark at its Regent’s View development in Bethnal Green, marking strong early demand at the former Victorian gasworks site.
The scheme, which launched its on-site marketing suite and showhomes in October 2025, welcomed its first residents in December, with a mix of private and first-time buyer apartments now sold.
Regent’s View forms part of a wider regeneration of a 4.5-acre canalside site, with two restored Victorian gasholders retained as centrepieces of the development.
The project has been designed by RSHP and combines residential homes with new public space and amenities in east London.
FIRST-TIME BUYER DISCOUNT
Remaining apartments across the Westwood and Wright Buildings range from one to three bedrooms, with prices between £540,000 and £1.46m. A separate collection of discounted homes for first-time buyers starts from £380,000 for those living or working in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets.
Residents have access to a range of on-site amenities, including concierge services, co-working space, leisure facilities and rooftop areas, alongside new public realm including green space and canal access.
BUCKING THE TREND

Craig Miles, Regional Managing Director at Berkeley, says: “In the current London property market, quality has to shine through to attract purchasers, which is why we’re delighted with the fantastic results achieved at Regent’s View.
“The ability to showcase show apartments that demonstrate the exceptional finish, location and views on offer at this iconic site has been a huge factor in the sales achieved over recent months.
“Given the development’s location within a thriving, trendy neighbourhood close to the City of London, we expect Regent’s View to continue to buck the trend and remain a popular choice with those looking for a statement home in London.”
