Property industry raises £15,000 for North London Hospice

Property professionals have raised £15,000 for North London Hospice at the latest Rumble with the Agents charity boxing event, taking the initiative’s fundraising total to more than £200,000 since it launched.

The annual event, now in its 11th year, brought together estate agents, letting agents, landlords, developers and suppliers for an evening of white-collar boxing and fundraising in support of the charity.
Hosted by Landlord Action founder Paul Shamplina (main picture, left) and sponsored by mydeposits, the sold-out event raised money through raffles, auctions and donations before additional contributions increased the final total to £15,000.

Since its launch in 2015, Rumble with the Agents has raised more than £200,000 for charities supporting homelessness, mental health, community initiatives and end-of-life care.

FANTASTIC ACHIEVEMENT

Shamplina says: “Every year I am blown away by the generosity of the property industry. What started as a way of combining my passion for boxing with raising money for good causes has become a fantastic industry event that continues to make a real difference.

“To raise £15,000 is a fantastic achievement and I would like to thank everyone who boxed, attended, sponsored, donated prizes, bought raffle tickets and supported the event. It shows that our industry is about much more than business and is always willing to give something back.”

Rumble With The Agents
Since its launch in 2015, Rumble with the Agents has raised more than £200,000 for charities supporting homelessness, mental health, community initiatives and end-of-life care.

North London Hospice provides specialist care and support for more than 3,500 people living with life-limiting illnesses each year, alongside help for their families and carers.

Pippa Baker (main picture, right), Head of Fundraising at North London Hospice, says: “We are so very grateful to Paul and Rita Shamplina and everyone involved in Rumble with the Agents for the hugely impressive £15,000 raised to help support our patients.

“Support from events such as this is more important than ever. Demand for hospice services continues to grow while the hospice sector faces significant financial pressures. The vital funds raised will make a big difference.”

The next Rumble with the Agents event is scheduled to take place at Newcastle Civic Centre on 10 December, continuing the industry’s long-running fundraising initiative.
