Home App aims to simplify property buying and ownership

A new digital platform designed to help consumers organise every aspect of homeownership and the property buying process has been launched by property entrepreneur and television personality Emily Evans.

The Home App, which is available as a free download via the App Store and Google Play, acts as a centralised digital filing cabinet where users can store, manage and access key property-related documents.
The launch comes as delays within the conveyancing process continue to frustrate homebuyers and industry professionals alike.

Missing paperwork and incomplete documentation remain among the most common causes of transaction delays, with Home App aiming to reduce these issues by helping users organise important information from the outset of a property purchase.

SECURE STORAGE

The platform includes dedicated sections covering mortgages, financial documents, insurance, maintenance records and household accounts, allowing users to securely store everything from boiler service certificates to home insurance policies in one location.

Fully launched in May 2026, the business is now focused on growing adoption among both consumers and property professionals.

Emily Evans (main picture), Founder of Home App, says: “I invented Home because buying, selling and managing your property has become far more complicated than it needs to be. So many people from individual homeowners and first-time buyers to professionals are becoming overwhelmed with the process and I wanted to build something that genuinely makes the whole journey easier.

“Current estimates show that around 25% of home purchases fall through during the conveyancing process due to delays leading to a change of mind, circumstance or issues derived from missing or incorrect paperwork.

“The Home App organises everything, keeps you on track and guides you through each step with clarity and confidence. My mission is to fix a broken part of the home buying process and give everyone the tools and knowledge to feel in control of their homes again.”

BUSINESS DIRECTORY

Alongside document storage, the platform includes property advice, educational content and a question-and-answer feature.

A trusted businesses directory is also being developed, which will allow users to find and review solicitors, estate agents, tradespeople and other property-related services through independently verified reviews.

For property professionals, the platform offers a dashboard capable of managing multiple properties and clients, alongside document sharing, compliance reminders and access controls designed to streamline day-to-day administration.

The app also includes a design inspiration feature, enabling users to save and organise images, videos and ideas for future home improvement projects.

Home App is available now as a free download on Apple and Android devices.
