A team of estate agency professionals will be pounding the pavements rather than chasing completions this weekend as they take on the Cambridge Half Marathon in aid of charity.
On Sunday 8 March 2026, five representatives from Fine & Country and The Guild of Property Professionals will run the 13.1-mile course to raise funds for The Fine & Country Foundation, the network’s charitable arm focused on tackling homelessness and supporting communities in crisis.
The runners – Wesley Barnard and Adie McCarthy-Jones from Fine & Country’s head office, alongside Dolly Nelson, Robert Walker and Katie Stevens – are aiming to raise both funds and awareness for the Foundation’s work in the UK and overseas.
Since launching in 2014, The Fine & Country Foundation has raised and distributed more than £1m to charitable causes, supporting grassroots organisations and crisis response initiatives through its biannual grant schemes. Local charities nominated by members of the Fine & Country network can receive grants of up to £3,000 to fund frontline support for vulnerable people.
BIG IMPACT

Wesley Barnard, Head of PR at Fine & Country, says: “Working for Fine & Country, I’ve had a front row seat to the extraordinary impact The Foundation has made over the past few years.
“I’ve seen how vital funding has helped rebuild a village in Nepal, supported grassroots charities through critical moments, and provided hope and practical help to people who need it most. These aren’t abstract stories – they’re real lives changed through collective action and generosity.”
RIGHT CHALLENGE

Adie McCarthy-Jones, Business Development Manager at Fine & Country, adds: “I’ve always enjoyed keeping fit, and taking on a half marathon felt like the right challenge this year.
“Doing it in support of The Fine & Country Foundation makes it even more meaningful. It’s a charity I care about, and I hope the event helps raise valuable funds for those who will benefit.
“I’m really looking forward to what promises to be a fantastic day in Cambridge with my work family.”
Funds raised from the event will feed into the Foundation’s spring and autumn grant rounds, helping community organisations continue their work supporting and protecting vulnerable people.
While negotiating chains may test stamina in a different way, on Sunday the only thing standing between this team and success will be 13.1 miles of Cambridge streets — and a finish line worth running for.
