CJ Hole expands Bristol footprint with Anne James acquisition

CJ Hole has acquired independent firm Anne James Estate & Letting Agents, strengthening its presence across East Bristol and taking its network to 11 offices.

The deal marks the seventh acquisition completed by CJ Hole as the agency continues its expansion strategy across Bristol and surrounding areas.
Anne James, which has operated in Longwell Green for many years, was founded and run by Heather and Alison James, who are retiring from the business. The agency has built a strong reputation locally for its community-focused approach and established client relationships.

The acquisition gives CJ Hole a stronger foothold across East Bristol, linking its existing branches in Kingswood and Lyde Green while extending coverage into surrounding areas including Hanham, Oldland Common, Warmley, Bitton and Keynsham.

STAFF RETAINED

CJ Hole confirmed the Longwell Green office on Bath Road will remain open, with all existing Anne James staff retained as part of the integration to ensure continuity for vendors, landlords and tenants.

KEY LOCATION

He adds: “This acquisition reflects our continued investment across Bristol and our belief in combining strong local knowledge with the benefits of a wider network.

“Longwell Green is a key location for us, allowing us to better connect our existing offices while remaining firmly rooted in the communities we serve.”

“Our focus remains on supporting strong local teams with the tools, marketing and infrastructure they need to deliver exceptional service, while retaining the personal, community-led approach that clients value.”

The acquisition continues a wider trend of regional consolidation across the agency sector, as established independent brands increasingly join larger local and regional networks seeking scale, operational efficiencies and broader marketing reach.
