Biggleswade Town FC and 11-acre stadium site brought to market

Biggleswade Town Football Club and its 11-acre stadium site have been brought to market in what is being described as a rare opportunity to acquire both a historic non-league club and a substantial community sports facility.

Property consultancy Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH) is marketing the Southern League Division One Central club’s Langford Road ground, which includes a fully operational stadium, training facilities and event space.
The freehold site extends to around 11 acres and includes a seated main stand with capacity for approximately 280 spectators, covered terracing and an overall ground capacity of more than 3,000.

The wider site also incorporates a clubhouse with licensed bar and function facilities, changing rooms, gym and physio suite, a floodlit 3G training pitch, multiple grass pitches and parking for more than 150 vehicles.

COMMUNITY FOCUS

Founded in 1874, Biggleswade Town FC has operated for more than 150 years and remains heavily involved within the local community through its youth football programme and wider events offering.

The club currently supports more than 250 youth players from under-5 to under-18 level and regularly hosts grassroots fixtures, training sessions and community events throughout the year.

LSH says the site offers scope for further commercial and community development, while remaining a fully operational sports venue.

The property also benefits from strong transport connectivity, sitting around one mile from Biggleswade town centre and railway station, with the A1 located approximately 1.5 miles away.
