Zoopla has further improved its search experience for consumers with the launch of six new ‘smart tags’, driving more quality buyers for agents as a result.
Smart tags are an additional layer of property attributes extracted from property descriptions using AI.
Zoopla leverages Natural Language Processing (NLP) to extract features from the description and computer vision to extract features from the images.
This means that users can simply filter by the six new criteria or smart tags; conservatory, cottage, en suite, kitchen island, patio and period property, and will be provided with more tailored searches as a result.
DRIVING USERS

This drives more users to return to Zoopla’s website to take more high-value actions during their search for a new home (like submitting a lead).
Zoopla is the only portal to offer the capability to filter by these specific features, which were chosen due to their popularity with visitors to the Zoopla site.
This feature can also be used in conjunction with keywords to provide a more seamless search experience. This new feature is available across all devices, including desktop, mobile and app.
This is the latest in a series of investments by Zoopla in 2024 to provide the most data-informed search experience when it comes to finding a home.
Additional improvements to onsite filters include a bed and baths filter which was rolled out earlier this year.
