YouConvey webinar urges agents to get out of the mud

Estate agents have been urged to rethink their sales processes by involving conveyancers earlier and offering more structured support to buyers and sellers, during a recent industry webinar hosted by YouConvey.

The session, titled Supercharge Your Sales Pipeline, was delivered by Michael Day (main picture, left), Managing Director of Integra Property Services (main picture) and a member of the Home Buying and Selling Council.
It drew a strong turnout of agents keen to explore practical ways to speed up transactions and reduce fall-throughs.

Drawing on five decades of experience across both estate agency and conveyancing, Day outlined how early engagement between agents and conveyancers can improve customer outcomes, cut delays and create more efficient pipelines. He also highlighted the commercial benefits of a more joined-up approach, including higher revenues and fewer aborted sales.

HOMEBUYING REFORM

The timing of the event comes as the Government continues its consultation on reforms to the home buying and selling process – including proposals around material information, reservation agreements, home condition reports and mandatory qualifications for agents.

Feedback from attendees suggested the session was both timely and actionable.

Dan Sumner, Associate Partner at Hockeys Estate Agents in Newmarket, said the webinar “challenged our current thinking” and would prompt operational changes to help the firm “differentiate ourselves and benefit our clients.”

“His ability to communicate complex ideas in a clear, practical way was of huge benefit to delegates.

“YouConvey was created to make the home buying and selling process simpler and more transparent, and events like this show that change is possible when agents and conveyancers collaborate earlier.”
