Housing association VIVID has marked the first anniversary of its partnership with digital savings platform Housing Perks with thousands of customers using the scheme to cut the cost of everyday essentials.
Through the Housing Perks app, residents can access discounts of up to 20% across more than 100 well-known retailers – from supermarkets and fuel stations to fashion and online stores.
Since launch, over 5,000 VIVID customers have signed up, buying more than 16,000 vouchers and saving a combined £36,000.
The scheme is open to all VIVID households – including renters, shared owners, leaseholders and even garage tenants – offering practical ways to ease the squeeze on household budgets.
RENT CONTRIBUTIONS
Earlier this year the partnership introduced an extra innovation: the ability to contribute directly towards rent. Customers buy vouchers at full price and the equivalent discount is credited straight to their rent account.
Already, more than £10,000 has been channelled into rent payments, helping residents stay on top of housing costs while still benefiting from savings on everyday shopping.
One VIVID customer summed up the appeal simply: “Housing Perks has helped me save money on my groceries – it’s so easy to use when I get to the checkout.”
Others say it has helped them afford family events, plan treats or just make day-to-day spending go further.
POSITIVE IMPACT

Alex Nagle, Customer Service Director at VIVID, says: “It’s great to see the positive impact Housing Perks is having. The savings and benefits have been substantial, and we’re committed to continuing to provide support like this.”
Alastair Clegg, Director at Housing Perks, adds: “VIVID’s customers have responded really positively to the new rent contributions.
“It’s a simple and helpful way to save, with the added benefit of putting those savings directly towards rent. Customers have told us it’s making a real difference.”
