United Kingdom Sotheby’s International Realty bolsters its capabilities by hiring the APAC real estate expert

United Kingdom Sotheby’s International Realty has appointed Wai Kit Chan as Senior Sales Director – a strategic move that bridges the UK and East Asian markets.

Wai Kit (main picture) specialises in super-prime real estate across the Asia Pacific region, Europe, and the UK, with a particular focus on high-end residential properties and new build developments.
Wai Kit was the highest-billing agent at Savills UK’s APAC desk for four consecutive years, orchestrating lucrative sales across London’s most exclusive postcodes and delivering bespoke services for high-net-worth clients hailing from the Asia Pacific.

Fluent in English, Chinese, Cantonese, and Malay, Wai Kit is uniquely positioned to connect the UK with both the South East and East Asian markets – a crucial link amid the ongoing influx of affluent Asian buyers into the UK and their sustained interest in Europe’s prime real estate sector.

LUXURY RESIDENTIAL MARKET

Over his 13-year career, Wai Kit has cultivated a loyal, international clientele of discerning buyers who are drawn to the UK’s luxury residential market.

He joins the brokerage at a pivotal juncture, as it expands its reach into key markets across the UK and internationally, following a year in which the agency achieved £1.2BN in total sales.

CONNECTING PEOPLE

Wai Kit Chan says: “Prime real estate is more than just transactions – it’s about connecting people with properties that truly resonate with them.

Having had the privilege of working with countless individuals striving to put down roots in the UK, I understand the importance of bridging cultural values with the perfect home.

“This is why I am delighted to join United Kingdom Sotheby’s International Realty, with its vast international network and incredible legacy. Its global ethos aligns perfectly with my values, and I look forward to contributing to its continued success.”
