The Guild of Property Professionals to host Renters’ Rights Bill webinar

As the landmark Renters’ Rights Bill enters its critical final stages in the House of Lords, The Guild of Property Professionals has announced a vital webinar to help its Member agents navigate the impending legislative changes.

The event is strategically scheduled for Tuesday, 1st July at 11 am, the very day the Bill is set for its Report Stage and a potential Third Reading in the Lords.
The webinar underscores The Guild’s commitment to ensuring its Members are prepared, compliant, and confident in the face of the most significant overhaul of the private rented sector in a generation.

It will be led by The Guild’s in-house experts: Compliance Officer, Paul Offley, and Senior Account Manager, Tanya Pearson.

WINDOW OF OPPORTUNITY

With the Bill potentially receiving Royal Assent and becoming law before the Commons’ summer recess on 22 July, the window for preparation is rapidly closing. This webinar will provide property professionals with the essential knowledge and practical tools needed to adapt their businesses effectively.

Paul Offley, Compliance Officer at The Guild of Property Professionals, says: “The pace and scale of legislative change can be daunting for even the most experienced agents.

“Our primary role at The Guild is to cut through the complexity and provide our Members with clear, actionable guidance. This webinar is timed to deliver the latest insights as they happen, ensuring our network is not just compliant, but positioned to lead the market with confidence as this landmark bill becomes law.”

SWEEPING CHANGES

The Renters’ Rights Bill is set to introduce sweeping changes, including the abolition of “no-fault” Section 21 evictions, the transition to periodic tenancies as standard, and new regulations governing rent increases. The Guild’s webinar will offer a comprehensive briefing on these key points and more.

Joining Offley is Tanya Pearson, who brings years of lettings sector experience to her role as Senior Account Manager. She will focus on the practical application of the new laws and how agents can leverage The Guild’s support to optimise their operations.

She says: “Beyond pure compliance, these changes present an opportunity for agents to refine their services and strengthen relationships with both landlords and tenants.

“In the webinar, we’ll be discussing practical strategies and how The Guild’s tools and partner services can help Members streamline their business processes, ensuring a smooth transition for them and their clients.”
