The Guild of Property Professionals is inviting its members to trade office chairs for walking boots with the launch of its new ‘Guild Net-walking’ initiative, a series of informal, scenic hikes designed to combine professional networking with physical and mental wellbeing.
Launched by Rob Walker, Business Development Manager, and Steve McCabe, Account Manager at The Guild, the net-walking series offers members the chance to step away from day-to-day pressures and engage in meaningful, face-to-face conversations with peers and Guild account managers – all while enjoying some of the UK’s most breathtaking landscapes.
The events offer an alternative to traditional meetings, fostering open dialogue on industry trends, business challenges, and personal experiences, without the confines of a boardroom or a Zoom call.
The series kicked off with a well-attended hike through the Peak District (main picture), where Members praised the relaxed atmosphere and productive discussions.
SOMTETHING DIFFERENT

Building on this success, the Guild has confirmed an additional date of 4 September 2025 at Ribblehead, Yorkshire following today’s event (July 16, 2025) in Snowdon, Wales.
McCabe says: “We all know how demanding this industry can be, with long hours and constant pressure. That’s why we wanted to create something different.
“These walks are all about switching off, getting outdoors, and connecting – not just with nature, but with each other. It’s an opportunity to decompress, share ideas, and build relationships in a completely different environment.”
PEOPLE-FIRST APPROACH

“The response to the first event was incredible,” adds Walker. “The conversations you have on a hillside are often more open and productive than those in a formal meeting.
“We’re providing a space for our Members to support their mental and physical well-being while still gaining immense professional value. We can’t wait to welcome more Members in Snowdon and Yorkshire.”
The Guild’s Net-walking series reinforces its broader commitment to championing a balanced, people-first approach to business, supporting members in every aspect of their professional lives.
