Taylor Rose makes senior hires to drive growth and litigation push

Law firm Taylor Rose has made two senior appointments as it looks to expand its commercial pipeline and grow its specialist litigation capability.

The firm has named Jessica Draganescu (main picture, left) as Head of New Business and Emily Hewlett (main picture, right) as Lead Partner in Group Litigation, in what it says is part of a wider strategy to strengthen both its property-linked workstreams and complex disputes practice.
Draganescu will be responsible for driving new business growth, developing introducer relationships and building a stronger pipeline across both property and non-property services. Her role will also focus on aligning business development, marketing and operational delivery as the firm continues to scale.

She joins with more than a decade of experience across the property and legal services sector, having previously held senior roles at Purplebricks, Yopa and Simply Conveyancing, where she worked on large-scale growth and restructuring programmes.

SECRET COMMISSIONS

Hewlett will lead Taylor Rose’s group litigation division, overseeing complex multi-claimant cases and supporting the expansion of the department into new areas including consumer rights, breach of contract, secret commissions and mis-sold IVA claims.

She joined the firm earlier this year from Pogust Goodhead, where she worked on the Mariana v BHP case, one of the largest group actions ever brought in England and Wales, involving around 600,000 claimants following the 2015 Fundão dam collapse in Brazil.

Taylor Rose says the dual appointments reflect its intention to build both the commercial and legal sides of the business as it targets further growth.

Adrian Jaggard, CEO of Taylor Rose and parent group AIIC, says: “These appointments reflect a coordinated investment in both the commercial engine of the firm and the depth of our legal expertise.

“Strengthening how we generate and sustain work across the business, while continuing to build specialist capability in complex litigation, is central to delivering a broader and more resilient offering for clients.

“Together, these appointments enhance our ability to deliver a broader, more integrated offering, combining strong commercial infrastructure with leading legal capability.”
