Strutt & Parker hires Diaper for prime North London push

Strutt & Parker has appointed James Diaper as Director within its London broker team, strengthening its firepower across the prime and super-prime North London market.

Diaper (main picture) joins after 12 years at Savills, where he led the Hampstead office from 2019. With 15 years’ experience operating across North London, he specialises in transactions above £5m in the traditional re-sale family homes market.
His patch will include Hampstead, Highgate, Belsize Park, Primrose Hill and Camden – areas where he has secured a series of notable deals, including achieving £2,640 per square foot on a Highgate home, one of the highest figures recorded locally in recent years.

The hire forms part of Strutt & Parker’s wider growth strategy, following investment from shareholder BNP Paribas and the launch of a dedicated brokerage team to sit alongside its Prime Central London network.

Claire Reynolds, UK Head of Sales at Strutt & Parker, says: “James has built an exceptional reputation in our industry and in his local market. His track record speaks for itself, but the relationships he has built with clients in the area are equally as impressive.

“He is a crucial addition to our brokerage team, and an asset to our office network, as we expand our services into key growth markets.”

Diaper says the move comes at a pivotal point in both his career and the firm’s expansion plans.

He adds: “I’m excited to be joining Strutt & Parker at both this point in my career and at this stage of the business’ expansion into new markets. Delivering a trusted, client-focused service is something I pride my professional career on, and I look forward to doing this alongside many agents I’ve spent much of my career working in conjunction with.

“North London is both my home and my specialised market, and I look forward to servicing clients with the high-quality service Strutt & Parker is well known for.”

He joins an expanding broker team that includes Charles Medina, James Gow, Sarah James and Hugh Ball, alongside recent hires Andrew Chambers, Minnie Stainrod, Toby Downes and Zach Madison, as the firm targets further growth in London’s high-value markets.
