Shared ownership homes launch in Peterborough as prices rise 25%

As Peterborough property prices rise by 25% over five years, a new shared ownership scheme at Haddon Peake, near Yaxley, is offering a lifeline to first-time buyers priced out of the market.

The homes, available through Home Reach in partnership with Bovis Homes, form part of the wider Great Haddon Wood regeneration – an ambitious new community that will eventually deliver 5,350 homes, three primary schools, a secondary school, and a new district centre.
Haddon Peake offers a mix of two-, three- and four-bedroom houses through Home Reach, one of the UK’s largest shared ownership providers.

The scheme enables buyers to purchase between 10% and 75% of a property and pay rent on the remainder, with the option to increase their ownership over time through staircasing.

LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION

Melissa Toomey, Director of Sales for Home Reach, says: “At Home Reach, we recognise how important location is to buyers. That’s why we’re excited to introduce our scheme at Haddon Peake – a well-connected community where the need for affordable housing is clear.

“Shared Ownership offers a practical solution, helping more people take that first step onto the property ladder in an area they love.”
