SevenCapital, one of the UK’s leading property investment and development firms, has appointed James Moody, former Managing Director (Europe) at MARK, as its new Chief Operating Officer and Rebecca Thomson, previously Sales and Marketing Director at Camrose London, as Group Sales Director.
The strategic hires come as the company embarks on a £1 billion expansion into the London residential market.
With three major projects in the pipeline – located in Kensington, Islington, and the Isle of Dogs – SevenCapital aims to deliver over 1,000 new homes, pending planning approval. The developments will include both newly built residences and conversions of heritage buildings, designed to meet the growing demand for high-quality housing in the capital.
Moody (main picture, left), a seasoned industry leader, joins SevenCapital’s main Board of Directors and will play a pivotal role in overseeing the design, specification, and delivery of the firm’s London portfolio. His experience spans senior leadership roles at Redrow, Crest Nicholson, and most recently, MARK, where he was instrumental in the company’s joint venture with SevenCapital for its inaugural London development, 100 Kensington.
EXTENSIVE EXPERIENCE
Thomson (main picture, right) brings extensive sales expertise from her tenure at Camrose London, along with senior roles at Crest Nicholson, CALA Homes and Fairview. She will lead the sales strategy for SevenCapital’s London expansion, ensuring that each scheme is tailored to its location and offers buyers a distinctive, high-specification product.

Damien Siviter, Group Managing Director of SevenCapital, says: “We are delighted to welcome James and Rebecca to our leadership team.
“Their expertise in the London market will be invaluable as we execute our expansion plans. With a dedicated senior team and collaborations with award-winning architects, we are committed to delivering a bespoke, premium product that reflects the high expectations of buyers in the capital.”
Moody adds: “I’m thrilled to be joining SevenCapital at such an exciting time. Our London expansion is centred around creating exceptional new homes and spaces, and we look forward to launching 100 Kensington in late 2025.”
£2.1 BILLION PORTFOLIO
SevenCapital, founded in 2009 by Chairman Bal Sohal and Group Managing Director Damien Siviter, has built a £2.1 billion portfolio of completed and pipeline projects.
The company initially made its mark in Birmingham with flagship developments such as St George’s Urban Village and The Kettleworks in the Jewellery Quarter.

Now expanding into the London market, SevenCapital’s first capital project, 100 Kensington, is a £500 million development comprising 462 homes, with completion expected in 2025.

The firm is also progressing two additional major schemes: Klein’s Wharf in the Isle of Dogs, set to deliver 375 new homes and the £210 million Archway Campus in Islington, which will provide 178 homes – over half of which will be affordable housing.
