Second wave of Propertymark Trust scholarships oversubscribed

The Propertymark Trust’s flagship education initiative, The Class of 25, continues to gather pace, with applications for its second 2025 intake now closed after an overwhelming response from aspiring property professionals across the UK.

Launched at the beginning of the year, the initiative offers scholarship bursaries covering 25%, 50%, 75% or 100% of the costs of learning materials, Propertymark membership and examination fees.
The goal: to help more people achieve Propertymark Level 3 qualifications in sales, lettings or property management – and open the door to a career in the property industry.

Following the close of the latest application round, all candidates have now been interviewed and notified of their outcomes. According to Propertymark Trust, interest far exceeded expectations once again.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

Michael Day (main picture, inset), Chair of the Education Group at the Propertymark Trust, says that the second intake has been “extremely well received and oversubscribed”, reflecting both the demand for industry qualifications and the Trust’s growing reputation for supporting professional development.

And he adds: “As expected, this second intake to our fantastic initiative has been extremely well received and oversubscribed.

“It will now provide a number of individuals with a route into qualifications that, in turn, will help underpin their future careers.

“We were delighted to receive so many applications, and our Trustees have been busy undertaking interviews and selecting those who are successful as part of the second 2025 intake.”

FUNDING GOING FURTHER

Day says that while full scholarships were available, many applicants had chosen to contribute toward their own costs, with some employers also matching funding.

“Scholarship bursaries of up to 100% were available, although many applicants are offering to contribute some of the costs themselves or via their employers,” he explains. “This enables our funding to go further, supporting more applicants overall.”

Since its creation, the Propertymark Trust has made education and accessibility central to its mission, offering grants and bursaries to help individuals gain professional qualifications that might otherwise be out of reach.

“From the start, one of the core objectives has been to promote and support those seeking Propertymark qualifications.”

Day says: “From the start, one of the core objectives of the Propertymark Trust has been to promote and support those seeking Propertymark qualifications.

“Educational grants for those unable to meet the financial cost of obtaining qualifications have always been at the heart of the Trust’s activities — and remain available.”

The Class of 25 initiative has quickly become one of the Trust’s most successful education programmes, helping raise professional standards and broaden access to recognised industry training. With this second intake now complete and the next round expected in early 2026, the Trust’s work continues to reinforce the message that a well-qualified workforce benefits not only individuals, but the entire property sector.
