Swindon-based lettings and property management firm RPM has appointed industry veteran David Wilson as Operations Director and shareholder as it gears up for a major expansion drive.
The move comes alongside the firm’s decision to select Alto as its CRM partner, signalling a strategic shift as RPM transitions from a management-focused operation into a full-service agency with lettings growth now underway and sales planned for 2026.
Wilson (main picture) joined the business in October, bringing more than 20 years’ experience across corporate and independent estate agency, including senior roles at Countrywide and Taylors, before moving into independent lettings and investment-led businesses.
Founded around a small inherited management portfolio, RPM initially concentrated on compliance, rent collection and property management.
RESIDENTIAL SALES LAUNCH
With Wilson’s arrival, the agency has accelerated plans to build out its front-end lettings operation and lay the foundations for a residential sales launch next year.
Wilson says: “I’ve spent most of my career in big corporate environments. They taught me a lot but when you step into building something of your own, you want systems that are slick, compliant and genuinely make life easier. Alto gives us that foundation.
“As soon as you start driving growth, you need visibility. I want to see everything in one place: landlords, tenants, compliance, prospecting, nurture journeys, property files. I don’t want five different systems doing five different jobs badly. One smooth system that delivers everything was crucial.”
HUGE ADVANTAGE
And he adds: “When people you respect – who are on a similar journey – swear by a platform, you listen. I spoke to everyone, sat through multiple demos, and Alto consistently came out as one of the most comprehensive and sensible options.
“Some platforms want you to start at a high price point from day one. Alto felt like a partner that would grow with us both commercially and operationally. That matters when you’re building something from the ground up.
“If the client journey is smooth, from onboarding to compliance to day-to-day communication, that becomes a real instruction winner,” he says.
“My job is to be out there winning business and building relationships. If Alto can take care of the operational heavy lifting in the background, that’s a huge advantage.”

Nick Shaw, Chief Revenue Officer at Alto, says: “David’s appointment marks an exciting moment for RPM. His experience, combined with a clear focus on compliance, client experience and scalable growth, aligns perfectly with what Alto is built for.
“We’re delighted to support RPM as their growth partner as they expand their lettings operation and prepare to launch sales in the year ahead.”
