Rightmove’s most viewed homes on Boxing Day

New data from the UK’s biggest property website Rightmove reveals 10 of the most viewed homes on Boxing Day 2025.

Boxing Day traditionally signals the start of the busier home-moving season and this year was the busiest ever Boxing Day for visits to the Rightmove platform.
And yesterday Property Soup revealed how Rightmove had recorded its busiest Boxing Day on record as prospective buyers and sellers began preparations for moves in 2026, pointing to renewed activity in the UK housing market after the festive lull.

Traffic to the property portal on 26 December 2025 exceeded the previous high set in 2024, reinforcing Boxing Day’s role as the unofficial start of the prime selling season.

Steve Pimblett, Rightmove’s Chief Data Officer, says: “There’s a huge variety of homes in Boxing Day’s most viewed list, highlighting the different types of buyers that are gearing up for a potential 2026 move.

“As usual, there are some stunning large family homes with luxury features on the list, but there are also some really well-presented smaller properties suited for potential first-time buyers.

“Homes from England, Scotland & Wales all make the top ten, and there’s also a mix of urban hotspots with commuter links into major cities and homes near lots of green space with privacy.”
