Rightmove is set to launch an app within ChatGPT as part of the next phase of its AI-led product development strategy.
The UK’s largest property portal has built and submitted the app to appear in ChatGPT’s app directory, where it will initially operate as an experiment focused on early-stage property discovery.
Once live, users of both free and paid versions of ChatGPT will be able to download the Rightmove app and access it by typing “@Rightmove” within a prompt.
The integration will allow consumers to search for properties for sale and rent – including new homes and build-to-rent listings – using conversational language directly inside the ChatGPT interface.
LIVE LISTINGS
ChatGPT will return a carousel of live property listings drawn from Rightmove’s platform, based on personalised lifestyle-led queries.
Users will then be directed to Rightmove’s main site to access full listing details, filtering tools and to contact agents or developers.
The move follows the recent beta launch of Rightmove’s own on-site conversational search tool, which enables home-movers to describe their requirements in natural language.
It also builds on AI features introduced in 2025, including “AI Keywords” search on mobile and “Style with AI”, designed to help users visualise a property’s potential.
Rightmove says insights gathered from user interactions within ChatGPT will inform further development of its AI-powered search and partner tools.

She adds: “Alongside the ongoing innovation and tools on Rightmove’s site, we’ve chosen to build an app to sit within ChatGPT.
“We will test and learn how ChatGPT users engage in the early stages of their property journey, acting as a stepping stone to the full and comprehensive property search experience on Rightmove.”
