Rightmove ramps up AI innovation to help agents

Rightmove is accelerating the rollout of artificial intelligence across its platform as it looks to deliver smarter connections between agents and home-movers.

The UK’s largest property portal now has 27 AI initiatives in development, signalling a major shift in how the business uses data and automation to serve both consumers and partners.
Four new products – two consumer-facing and two for agents – are already live, each designed to make property discovery and lead generation more intelligent and intuitive.

From smarter search to predictive lead generation, these latest AI launches show Rightmove positioning itself not just as a listings site, but as a data-driven partner helping agents uncover opportunity long before the “For Sale” board goes up.

AI KEYWORDS

Rolling out now across the Rightmove app, AI Keywords allows home-movers to describe what they’re looking for in plain English – think “exposed brick,” “river view,” or “underfloor heating.”

Trained on 25 years of listing data, the AI scans property descriptions and photos to surface homes with those desired features. For agents and developers, that means listings are shown to more relevant, highly engaged buyers and renters – boosting visibility and conversion potential.

VENDOR PREDICTION MODEL

Rightmove’s new Vendor Prediction Model analyses billions of datapoints to identify potential valuation leads before they enter the market.

The model powers two products: Rightmove Discover, which sends targeted communications to would-be sellers on behalf of local agents, and Opportunity Manager, which flags and prioritises those leads inside agents’ dashboards based on behavioural signals.

Together, they give agents a clearer view of who’s likely to move next – and a chance to start the conversation earlier.

ONLINE AGENT VALUATION

Rightmove has also launched an Online Agent Valuation tool featuring an AI-powered writing assistant. It helps agents craft personalised messages to potential sellers faster, saving valuable time in the follow-up process.

Early data shows that more than a fifth of agents using the new tool have already adopted the AI writing feature to speed up outreach and convert valuation opportunities more efficiently.

STYLE WITH AI

On the consumer side, Style with AI lets buyers digitally restyle a property to visualise its potential. Users can remove furniture, tweak lighting, or switch to a preferred décor – from Scandi minimalism to bold Art Deco – to see how the space might look as their own.

Initially available to a subset of users, the tool aims to help more movers look past dated décor or cluttered photos and imagine how a home could work for them – giving agents another way to inspire viewings and enquiries.

HARNESSING DATA

Tarah Lourens (main picture), Rightmove’s Chief Technology and Operations Officer, says: “We’re accelerating our delivery of AI-powered products and tools to enhance the search experience for home-movers, and provide our agent partners with more positive outcomes for their businesses.

“AI technology is something we’ve actively been using for a long time, and as the technology has evolved, we’ve ramped up the number of use cases across our platform.

“We’re constantly harnessing the huge data flowing through our platform every day to experiment with new tools and features that would add value to those using Rightmove.”
