Rightmove is launching a new functionality for home-hunters to collaborate with the people they’re moving in with during their moving journey.
Home-movers can now share property lists with friends and family, collaborating on shortlists of agents’ properties, making the process of searching for a home more social and interactive.
Each year Rightmove carries out thousands of hours of testing and gathering feedback from consumers and this feature was one of the most requested.
Lists enable home-movers to shortlist homes which suit their bespoke requirements. By sharing lists, home-movers can work together and react to each other’s suggestions to find the perfect home. The aim is also to encourage home-movers to be on the same page about properties at the point of booking a viewing.
SEAMLESS COLLABORATION
Available to buyers and renters now within My Rightmove, the launch of Shared Lists is part of Rightmove’s bigger mission to enable seamless collaboration between home-movers on its platform, assisting home-hunters with each stage of the moving process.
Tarah Lourens (main picture), Rightmove’s Chief Technology and Operations Officer, says: “It’s really exciting to bring Rightmove users this much-requested feature so people can seamlessly see shared property lists in one place.
“With the majority of home-movers looking to live with at least one other person, our new tool is designed to make the process of searching for a home more collaborative and interactive, and make sure home-movers are on the same page before they get in touch with agents.”
