Rightmove launches new Renter Checklist

Rightmove has launched a new Renter Checklist, designed to guide tenants step-by-step through the entire move-in process – from finding a property to collecting the keys.

Available now in My Rightmove, the checklist allows renters to add the property they’re moving into and tick off each stage as they go, creating a clear, streamlined view of their move-in journey.
The new tool is the latest addition to Rightmove’s mission to make renting easier for both agents and tenants by digitising what has long been a complicated, paperwork-heavy process.

By setting out each step of the rental journey — and showing progress in real time — the checklist brings greater transparency and peace of mind for renters, while reducing calls and admin for agents.

SEAMLESS INTEGRATION

The Renter Checklist ties in with Rightmove’s Lead to Keys suite — the integrated set of lettings tools that helps agents manage every stage of the process, from lead generation through to key handover.

Tenants whose agents use Rightmove’s Tenant Referencing Service will automatically see the live status of their reference within the checklist, along with any next steps.

And where agents are using Rightmove’s Tenancy Manager on Rightmove Plus, every stage of the tenancy application updates automatically in the Renter Checklist — giving both sides full visibility and reducing delays.

REDUCING FRICTION

Tarah Lourens, Chief Technology and Operations Officer at Rightmove, says: “Through our Lead to Keys suite, we’ve already been helping agents reduce admin time and manage the entire rental process through one integrated system.

The Renter Checklist is the next step — designed to make life easier for tenants too.

“It shows them exactly what actions they need to take and where they are in the process, cutting friction and frustration in what has traditionally been a complex journey.”
