Reapit webinar reveals the next frontier in AI: from automation to agentic intelligence

Reapit’s latest webinar, Beyond the Basics, drew over 350 property professionals on 24 July for a forward-looking session on how AI is set to reshape estate agency as we know it, highlighting the transition from basic automation to powerful, decision-making agentic AI.

The session, led by Reapit Product Directors Kelly Mullins and Kieran McGurk, comes hot on the heels of the company’s announcement that it will launch its next-generation embedded AI assistant, Reapit AI (RAI), in early 2026.
Rather than offering a typical demo of AI tools, the webinar focused on showing how different levels of AI – from rules-based automation, to generative AI, and now agentic AI – can help estate agents streamline operations, boost productivity, and transform the customer experience.

The Q&A section reflected growing interest in how estate and lettings agents can adopt AI practically and safely. Questions ranged from data security and privacy to the changing role of agents in an AI-enabled industry, and how current tools can support specific functions like lead nurturing, property maintenance, and client communications.

“AI today is not just about replacing repetitive tasks with automation,” said Mullins. “And its potential goes beyond today’s generative AI, which relies on public or prompt-entered data to spot patterns and provide answers. Agentic AI learns continuously and can make decisions and act without being prompted.”

She continued: “Unlike automation, which follows static rules, agentic AI can be embedded into business systems to make goal-oriented decisions in real time. Within defined guardrails, it can even act on behalf of agents, freeing them up to focus on relationships, deals, and customer service.”

As an example, Mullins explained how a maintenance request from a tenant would traditionally trigger a simple, automated message. But with agentic AI, the system could assess the urgency of the issue, generate a works order, and contact a trusted contractor – moving from reaction to intelligent, real-time action.

“AI should support agents, not replace them,” said McGurk. “We’re also not building generic tools, but AI that understands estate agency, from valuations to lettings, compliance to customer care.”

He was clear on the risks, too: “Given current concerns about consumer privacy and enterprise data security, we recommend using only enterprise-grade AI tools and providing thorough training on responsible use.”

CONTEXT-AWARE ASSISTANT

Reapit also gave a sneak peek at what’s to come with RAI. Unlike public models trained on scraped content, RAI will operate on a client’s private data and workflows – with no cross-customer data sharing.

The result: a fully embedded, context-aware assistant that understands how each agency operates, responds in the agency’s tone of voice, and stays firmly within brand and compliance guidelines.

“RAI isn’t just another chatbot,” said McGurk. “It’s being designed to deliver high-impact assistance where it counts – based on your agency’s data, priorities and people.”

Further details on RAI’s rollout are expected later in 2025. For agencies wanting to stay ahead of the AI curve, Reapit’s message is clear: the era of intelligent, agent-supportive AI is just beginning.
