Propertymark urges members to stand for board and VP roles

Propertymark has called on qualified members across the property sector to put themselves forward for election to its Board of Directors and Vice Presidential roles for the 2026/27 term.

The trade body has opened nominations for member-elected Board Directors and Vice Presidents across its sales and lettings divisions, offering agents the opportunity to help shape the organisation’s strategic direction and represent member interests at a national level.
Vice Presidents for NAEA Propertymark and ARLA Propertymark form part of a three-year leadership pathway, progressing to President-Elect and ultimately Division President.

The roles involve acting as ambassadors for the profession, representing agent perspectives across media and industry forums, chairing advisory panels and contributing to policy and standards development.

SETTING STRATEGY

Member-elected Board Directors serve an initial four-year term and are responsible for helping to set strategic priorities, ensure long-term sustainability and safeguard member interests as the sector navigates regulatory and market change.

Nathan Emerson (main picture, inset), CEO of Propertymark, says: “Member voices lie at the heart of Propertymark’s success. Whether as a Board Director or within our Presidential Teams, these voluntary leadership roles allow agents to help shape the profession, elevate standards, and ensure Propertymark remains responsive to the needs of its members.”

MEMBER BALLOT

Nominations will be assessed by an independent panel, with shortlisted candidates progressing to a member ballot ahead of confirmation at the Annual General Meeting.

The elections follow Propertymark’s recent introduction of an independent Regulatory Board, as part of wider governance reforms aimed at reinforcing transparency and accountability.

Members wishing to stand for election must submit their nominations by 6 March.
