Trade body Propertymark has significantly expanded its popular member helpline service to cover residential sales as well as all four devolved UK nations, in a move aimed at bolstering frontline support for estate and letting agents navigating increasingly complex regional legislation.
The expansion means that agents operating across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland will now be able to access legal and regulatory guidance tailored to their specific location and professional discipline.
The helpline, which currently handles more than 20,000 member enquiries a year, is staffed by a team of experienced advisers and supported by legal professionals in each nation.
The helpline expansion marks the latest investment by Propertymark in its efforts to support agents navigating shifting regulations and to reinforce its value proposition to members across the UK housing market.
ALL CORNERS OF THE UK

Jan Hÿtch, Head of Member Services at Propertymark, says: “We’re extremely pleased to be able to support members spanning all corners of the UK through our ever-expanding member helpline team.
“The knowledge and experience of our team is growing daily, supported by our legal teams in all the devolved nations, and we will continue to adapt and expand to cater to the continuously changing and often complex requirements of our members’ clients, customers and day-to-day work.”
The helpline is available Monday to Friday and covers a wide range of operational and compliance topics. Common questions are turned into FAQs and downloadable factsheets, accessible to members 24/7.
RANGE OF SERVICES
Different branches of membership determine the advice on offer: NAEA Propertymark members can seek guidance on residential sales, while ARLA Propertymark members receive lettings-related support. Members holding multiple accreditations, or those subscribed to the Company Advantage scheme, gain access to a broader range of services.
The Company Advantage package, targeted at Principals, Partners and Directors, offers a suite of additional benefits designed to save time, reduce overheads and streamline agency operations.
These include professional indemnity insurance with fidelity cover, AML compliance tools, cyber protection services, and ready-to-use templates for tenancy agreements and terms of business.
Members also gain access to helplines for HR, tax, and public relations, along with discounts on training, services and lead generation tools.
