Opus First Media launches Bridging Soup

Opus First Media has expanded its specialist publishing portfolio with the launch of Bridging Soup, a new digital title dedicated to the fast-growing UK bridging, commercial and SME finance markets.

The new platform is aimed squarely at professionals, brokers, distributors and lenders operating across short-term and specialist lending, providing daily news, analysis, commentary and thought leadership in a sector where speed, complexity and innovation are reshaping how property finance is delivered.
Bridging Soup becomes the latest stablemate to Property Soup and Mortgage Soup and  extending Opus First Media’s reach across residential, specialist and commercial property.

Together, the three titles are designed to give readers a joined-up view of both the property and mortgage ecosystem, from purchase and mainstream home loans through to specialist and complex funding solutions.

THE FULL MIX

The site will cover the full mix of the bridging, commercial and SME markets, including auction finance, bridge-to-term, bridge-to-let, development exit, drawdown facilities and semi-commercial lending.

It will also cover asset and invoice SME finance, alongside in-depth coverage of regulation, technology, funding structures, distribution strategies and more.

Kevin Rose, co-founder of Opus First Media, says the launch reflects both the rapid growth of the sector and the need for higher-quality, more focused journalism.

“Bridging, commercial and SME finance has moved from the margins to the mainstream of property lending, yet it has been underserved by genuinely specialist media.”

He adds: “Bridging Soup is designed to give this market the platform it deserves – independent, informed and written for professionals who need clarity, not noise.”

Robyn Hall, fellow co-founder, says the new title will bring the same editorial standards and energy that have driven the success of the Soup brands to date.

“This is one of the most innovative and competitive parts of UK finance, and it changes quickly,” he adds.

“We want Bridging Soup to be the place people come to understand what’s really happening – from pricing and products to regulation, funding and distribution – all in one place and without paywalls.

“At Opus First Media our Soup brands are all about identifying Solutions, Opportunities and Understanding Property. Bridging Soup will be another key ingredient to the mix.”

OPEN ACCESS

And he says that the open-access model across all Soup brands is central to Opus First Media’s strategy.

“By keeping the site free to read, we can make sure great ideas, insight and expertise travel as far as possible across the industry.”

Bridging Soup will be updated daily with breaking news, expert opinion, blogs and long-form features, and will actively invite contributions from lenders, brokers, funders and industry specialists, positioning it as both a publication and a community for the UK’s specialist finance market.
