One Utility Bill has extended its enhanced commission rate for Notify, its utility registration and management service for letting agents as agencies look for ways to increase income without adding cost or workload.
The Notify service will continue to pay agents up to £17.50 per completed let until 31 March 2026, prolonging the higher rate first introduced in 2024. The extension gives agents additional time to generate incremental revenue using existing processes.
Notify operates in the background of the move-in process, managing tenant utility registration on behalf of agents.
The service is free to use, with no setup fees or subscriptions, and generates commission simply by allowing Notify to contact tenants at the point of move-in.
COMMISSION BOOST
For agencies completing around 20 lets a month, the extended rate could deliver more than £1,000 in commission before the end of March, without increasing staff workload.
The platform also aims to cut administration by automating a typically manual and time-consuming task. One Utility Bill estimates agents can save up to 53 hours of admin each month by removing the need for supplier calls, follow-ups and utility-related queries.
SUPPORTING TENANTS
Shay Jones (main picture, inset), Director of Growth and Sales at One Utility Bill, says: “This extension is our way of saying thank you. Thank you for trusting Notify, for giving us the opportunity to support your tenants, and for helping us shape a platform that genuinely works for letting agents.”
The announcement follows continued investment in Notify, including new CRM integrations with Street.co.uk and GlueDog, faster access to live support via the agent dashboard and expanded resources for agency teams.
The extension comes as the sector prepares for the Renters’ Rights Act, with Phase 1 due to begin on 1 May, prompting many agents to look more closely at automation to maintain service standards while freeing up capacity.
