Proptech specialist Nurtur has joined forces with connectivity data provider BroadbandUK to launch one of the property industry’s first comprehensive broadband services offering address-level connectivity information.
The new tool fills a longstanding gap in the market, where reliable broadband data has been missing from estate agent listings despite connectivity now ranking alongside water, gas and electricity as a core utility.
Fast, dependable broadband has become the second most important consideration for homebuyers after location, with research showing that properties offering strong connections can command premiums of more than £3,500.
Conversely, poor connectivity can reduce perceived value by as much as 25% and three-quarters of remote workers report being unable to work effectively due to slow or unreliable broadband speeds.
VERIFIED BROADBAND DATA
Yet accurate broadband information has rarely been included in property listings. Nurtur and BroadbandUK’s new service seeks to change that by embedding verified broadband data directly into listings across agents’ websites and portals, at no additional cost to Nurtur clients.
The system integrates seamlessly with existing estate agency platforms, displaying real-time data such as available internet service providers, connection speeds and network technology types for almost every UK residential property.
Unlike generic Ofcom speed categories, it provides granular, address-level intelligence to give buyers and renters a clear understanding of what to expect before committing.
DMCC ACT REQUIREMENTS
The launch also helps agents comply with new Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers (DMCC) Act requirements.
From 6 April 2025, broadband connectivity will be classed as mandatory material information that must be disclosed in listings. Failure to do so could result in penalties of up to £300,000 or 10% of global turnover.
Richard Combellack (main picture, inset), Chief Commercial Officer at Nurtur, says: “We are thrilled to partner with BroadbandUK to provide a comprehensive solution that not only enhances our clients’ websites but also ensures compliance with the latest regulations.
“The integration of BroadbandUK’s service into our platform will offer our clients a seamless way to display vital broadband information on property listings, meeting the growing demands of the property sector.”
ADDRESS-LEVEL PRECISION

Saveen Rajan, Chief Executive of BroadbandUK, adds: “This partnership builds on years of research and development to bring address-level precision to the property market.
“We’re delighted to be working with Nurtur to provide clarity around connectivity, as broadband has become a fundamental part of everyday life. This gives buyers and renters the confidence to make informed decisions before they commit.”
The service launches across Nurtur’s existing client network this month, with a wider rollout planned throughout 2025.
Integration requires minimal technical setup and provides estate agents with a competitive edge as consumer expectations – and regulatory standards – continue to rise.
