Newmanor Law has expanded into high-value residential conveyancing with the appointment of Charles James, broadening its offer beyond its established commercial property practice.
The move reflects rising demand from investors and high-net-worth clients seeking joined-up legal advice across both commercial and residential property holdings.
Newmanor Law says the expansion will allow it to support clients with complex, multi-asset portfolios from a single platform.
James (main picture) joins from his own practice, which he founded in 2008, advising high-net-worth individuals, trustees and property investors on residential and commercial transactions in London and overseas. He brings extensive experience handling complex, high-value matters, including leasehold enfranchisement, freehold acquisitions and cross-border property interests.
DIVERSE INTERESTS
The firm says the appointment strengthens its ability to act for international investors and overseas corporates, as well as UK-based clients with diverse property interests. Alongside residential conveyancing, James will advise on property development, landlord and tenant matters and offshore company compliance.
Karen Mason, Partner and Co-founder of Newmanor Law, says the hire was a strategic step that responds to evolving client needs and significantly enhances the firm’s residential capability alongside its commercial expertise.
James said Newmanor Law’s commercially focused approach and growing profile in the property sector made it a strong platform to develop a high-value residential offering. He added that clients increasingly expect discretion, technical depth and responsiveness across all aspects of their property portfolios.
