VIVID has appointed Mike Shepherd as Chief Investment Officer, tasking him with leading the housing association’s investment strategy and long-term growth ambitions.
Shepherd brings more than 20 years’ experience across housing and real estate investment, with a strong track record in delivering large-scale development programmes, joint ventures and innovative funding structures.
He joins from Man Group, where he was Investment Director, leading strategic, long-term partnerships focused on delivering sustainable mixed-tenure homes using institutional capital.
Prior to this, Shepherd previously held the role of Executive Director at VIVID, where he played a key role in driving the organisation’s growth through development activity, asset management and joint ventures.

“My focus is on our ambitious plans, ensuring every home we provide is well-maintained, safe and secure and delivering many more affordable homes for people who need them most, now and in the future.
“We’re in an especially strong position at VIVID to deliver on our ambitions and ensure all of our customers have a place they are proud to call home.”

Mark Perry, Chief Executive of VIVID, says Shepherd’s appointment would support the organisation’s long-term objectives.
And he added: “Mike’s expertise and leadership will be instrumental in helping us achieve our ambitious plans to build more homes and bright futures for our customers and communities.
“His appointment underlines our commitment to driving innovative investment strategies that deliver lasting impact. It’s fantastic to have him back in the team.”
