Following an extensive recruitment process, property industry collaboration group Women in Residential Property (WiRP) has announced the appointment of a new chair for the next two year term.
Partner and Head of Conveyancing Services at national law firm Foot Anstey, Rebecca Kibby (main picture) takes up the role and will work alongside the existing committee and Advisory Groups to take WIRP forward into its next phase.
Based in Bristol, and a well-known figure in the property sector, Kibby is a highly commercial, innovative lawyer with over 25 years’ experience in the residential property market. She’s bringing her extensive experience as a cutting edge leader within top 100 full-service firm Foot Anstey to the position.
Kibby says: “I’m honoured to take on the role of Chair at Women in Residential Property. Over the next two years, I’m looking forward to deepening our focus on membership engagement and creating more opportunities for meaningful connections across the industry. WIRP has always been about championing collaboration and community, and I’m excited to build on that foundation.“
SIGNIFICANT FOLLOWING
Women in Residential Property was established in 2017 by Emma Vigus and in that time has amassed a significant following across the property services sector encompassing block management, surveying, estate agency, panel management and conveyancing to name a few.
The group promotes greater collaboration across the property industry through wider knowledge sharing and professional development. There is no membership fee to be part of WIRP
Alongside regular on and offline networking, information and training events including the next Collaboration Lunch on 12th June in London, in 2024 the Women in Residential Property Podcast was launched sharing career stories and overcoming workplace challenges. And in 2025 it launched a mentoring programme which is being rolled out over the course of the next 12 months for those wishing to be involved.
COLLABORATION AND INSIGHT

Kibby takes on the position from outgoing Chair Nicola Broomham who has served since 2023.
A former Director at one of the UK’s leading property recruitment firms deverellsmith, Broomham has been instrumental in the formalisation of the role of chair, committee and Advisory Groups over the past two years.
In that time the group has championed mental health and wellbeing, collaboration, allyship, gender bias, networking skills and the campaign to tackle the outdated practice of addressing correspondence “Dear Sirs.”
Broomham says: “It’s been a privilege to be the chair of WIRP and I’m excited to hand over the baton to the next chair who will no doubt build on the work we’ve done over the past two years.
“The future of WIRP is very much committed to its core values of collaboration, insight and support for women across the property community and our upcoming events are all representative of that vision; bringing the sectors together in a spirit of shared experience.”
Kibby will introduce herself at the next regular monthly webinar, and will join the Collaboration and Networking Lunch, hosted in London on 12th June. For more information about Women in Residential Property, and to get involved in their upcoming events, click HERE.
