New case managers graduate from Movera’s learning academy

Six new conveyancing case managers have successfully graduated from Movera’s in-house learning academy after completing a four-week course which included passing rigorous assessments. The group studied at the Stockport offices of ONP Solicitors LLP, a member of the Movera conveyancing group.

The case managers are all ages and from a variety of backgrounds, ranging from graduates to college leavers, with an average of two years’ experience. They come from Stockport and the surrounding areas.

Conveyancers joining Movera do not have to be a qualified lawyer. Instead, Movera’s in-house academy offers extensive and free learning pathways, and plenty of opportunities for career development. As well as the four-week course, Movera also offers 16-week courses for those with no conveyancing experience. There are also plenty of shorter skills courses and workshops such as learning on I.T applications, customer service skills and management development.

LATEST COHORT

The latest cohort of new case managers join Movera at an exciting time. With 600 staff across the country, Movera is investing significantly in learning and development. Its learning and development team has grown from just one a year ago to five today, and it is aiming to expand to include an additional four trainers. Over 120 staff have passed through the academy over the past year.

Movera has also invested significantly in technology, earning praise from employees who say their systems are far superior, and easy to use, compared to experience working in other conveyancing firms.

UNCAPPED BONUSES

Its case managers can earn generous, uncapped bonuses on top of their salaries. The speed and simplicity of the new systems mean that bonuses, based on the number of case numbers handled, are easy to achieve. Automation has eradicated many of the repetitive and time-consuming tasks expected of case managers at other conveyancing firms.

Jennifer Hogg, one of the new case managers, says: “I very much enjoyed the training, which allowed me a sufficient amount of time to get to grips with the system at ONP, as well as some refresher training on conveyancing. It also helped me to settle into ONP. I was made to feel so welcome by all managers and colleagues. It’s a fantastic way to join the business.”

NEVER STOP

Chris Harvey, Movera’s Head of Learning and Development, adds: “Our philosophy is that you never stop learning. In the modern workplace, the diverse range of skillsets that people need to progress is bigger than ever before. That’s why we are investing in and evolving the Movera academy to create a place where great people can develop their skillsets and ultimately, their careers.”
