Movera has joined the Open Property Data Association (OPDA) to support the transformation of the homebuying process through the sharing of digital property information across the property and mortgage industries.
By integrating with OPDA’s open data standards, Movera aims to enhance transparency, reduce administrative burdens and create a faster, more customer-friendly transaction process.
OPDA and Movera have long advocated for clear guidance on how to implement a fully digital homebuying system effectively and now urge the Government to follow through on its pledge.
OPDA has already delivered open property data standards that enable trustable and efficient sharing of data. These free, open-source tools, developed in collaboration with industry stakeholders have demonstrated significant efficiencies.
SHRINKING TIMELINE
Organisations using OPDA’s data standards for digital property packs have seen the timeline from mortgage offer to exchange of contracts shrink to as little as 15 days.
Andrew Taylor (main picture), Chief Technology Officer at Movera, says: “Joining OPDA represents a significant milestone in our mission to simplify and streamline the home-moving process.
“We are committed to leveraging technology to create a more seamless and transparent experience for homebuyers.
“By working alongside OPDA and its members, we aim to accelerate the adoption of digital services that will drive greater efficiency and improve customer outcomes across the industry. With OPDA’s framework, we can ensure that critical property data is accessible, accurate, and secure, which will benefit both customers and industry professionals alike.”
STREAMLING TRANSACTIONS

Maria Harris, Chair of OPDA, adds: “Movera’s membership is another step forward in transforming the home-buying process. Their expertise in streamlining transactions and commitment to innovation align perfectly with OPDA’s goals.
“Along with the work of our other members, Movera will help drive the adoption of open data standards, reducing inefficiencies and improving what is currently a frustrating experience for homebuyers.”
“OPDA is urging the UK Government to deliver digitised property data at source and provide greater clarity on executing a fully digital homebuying market.
Movera is the latest in a growing list of organisations to join the OPDA with lenders NatWest Group, HSBC, Nationwide and Lloyds Banking Group all joining last year, alongside members such as Atom bank, Mortgage Advice Bureau and Coadjute.
