Michael Day’s Christmas single raises over £2000 for charity

Michael Day, the well-known industry trainer and consultant behind Integra Property Services, has thanked supporters after his Christmas single helped raise more than £2,000 for Diabetes UK and The Propertymark Trust.

Day (main picture), who marked 50 years in the property industry in December, released an original festive track which has clocked up more than 1,500 streams across Spotify, Apple Music and other platforms.
The accompanying animated video by Toby Martin has also been viewed over 700 times on YouTube, with further footage of live performances taken from five open mic gigs he played during December.

However, it was donations made via Bandcamp in exchange for downloads that generated the fundraising total. After platform charges, £2,097.01 will now be split between the two charities. Download and donate HERE.

KEPT OFF THE TOP SPOT

He says: “I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who donated and I am delighted with the total raised.

“We live in a world where streaming has become the main delivery channel for music and, bearing in mind that people could download the track from just £2, to raise in excess of £2000 after platform fees, was an excellent outcome.

“The song may not have troubled Kylie in terms of being the Christmas number one but I have received a lot of wonderful comments about the song, the video and the causes I am supporting.”

NEW RELEASES

As well as running Integra Property Services, Day is a familiar face – and voice – on the local music circuit. Performing as Michael S Day, he will release a 13-track album, Prodigal Son, at the end of February, with new singles Sepia Dream and The Dream out on 7 January and 14 February respectively.

Alongside his consultancy work, Day is a Fellow of RICS, NAEA and ARLA, a founder director of Agents Together, a director and trustee of The Propertymark Trust, and the recipient of a lifetime achievement award in 2023.
