Mellior Group has been awarded a £21m construction contract for Angel Village, the flagship London scheme from investor-developer Bentry Capital.
The Zone 1 office-to-residential conversion in Islington will transform former office space into 130 design-led homes, with 88 delivered in phase one. The first residents are expected to move in during Q1 2027.
Strip-out works began in September 2025 under an 18-month programme, with fit-out commencing in January 2026. A show apartment is due to launch this spring.
The 1.7-acre site, located off City Road and tucked behind elegant arches, will also provide secure underground parking, landscaped gardens and concierge services.
HIGH-SPEC APARTMENTS
Works completed so far include removal of original curtain walling to introduce green wall façades, staircase removal and structural alterations. Interior Design Architects Ademchic and project architect Hadfield Cawkwell Davidson have collaborated to repurpose the existing structure into high-specification one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments.
Mellior, headquartered in Liverpool, has a core team of 10 dedicated to the scheme, with around 40 operatives on site daily, rising to 120 at peak construction.
