National sales and lettings agency Martin & Co has officially launched its new office in Leigh, strengthening its footprint across Greater Manchester.
The opening follows the strategic acquisition of established local agency Redwaters Lettings by Martin & Co Rochdale Franchise Owners, Peter Mahoney and Craig Wicking.
The deal, completed in October 2024, saw the duo acquire the Redwaters Lettings business, retaining its town centre office and experienced staff.
The premises have now been fully rebranded and are officially trading as Martin & Co Leigh, bringing the brand’s award-winning property services to the local community.
SECOND MAJOR ACQUISITION
This launch marks the second major acquisition for Mahoney and Wicking since they took over the Martin & Co Rochdale business as a resale in October 2023.
Their first acquisition, a bolt-on of Let’s Relocate in April 2024, grew their managed portfolio by 23% and demonstrated their ambitious strategy for growth. The Leigh office represents their first standalone branch expansion.
In addition to its established lettings expertise, the Leigh office will also offer residential sales services, bringing a values-led, people-first approach to those looking to buy or sell in the local area.
The team will also offer Investor Services, supporting hand-off landlords and overseas investors, providing a joined-up service that includes property sourcing, mortgage referrals, and full management for long-term rental income.
NEW PROPERTY PHILOSOPHY
For Director Craig Wicking, the expansion is about more than just business growth; it’s about bringing a new philosophy to the local property market.
