Pivotal Growth, the mortgage broker consolidator backed by LSL Property Services and Pollen Street Capital, has appointed Mayank Prakash CBE as its next chief executive, effective 1 September.
The business was launched in 2021 as a joint venture between LSL – one of the UK’s largest property services groups – and private equity firm Pollen Street Capital, with Simon Embley as a founding shareholder.
Pivotal Growth is part of LSL’s broader push into mortgage and financial services, which now account for around 40% of group profits. The company, best known for its estate agency brands including Your Move and Reeds Rains, has been refocusing its strategy on areas with higher margins and longer-term growth potential.
Its strategy has been to lead consolidation in the UK’s highly fragmented mortgage advice sector.
IMPROVE CUSTOMER OUTCOMES
Prakash (main picture) joins from Evelyn Partners, where he served as Chief Operating Officer, driving profitability across its wealth, professional and fund services divisions.
He also holds board positions at Softcat and Uber UK and previously served as director general in the UK government, where he oversaw digital pensions services for 13 million people. His career has also included senior roles at Centrica, Morgan Stanley, Sage and Avaya.
He was awarded a CBE in 2024 and named the UK’s most influential business leader by Computer Weekly.
STRATEGIC VISION

Simon Embley, chairman of Pivotal Growth, says: “Mayank brings a rare combination of strategic vision, buy and build growth, operational excellence, and technology transformation.
“His appointment marks a pivotal moment in our journey to raise market standards to deliver consistent, high-quality outcomes for mortgage customers across the UK.”
FRAGMENTED MARKET
Prakash adds: “I’m honoured to join Pivotal Growth, following in the footsteps of Simon. The opportunity to unify the fragmented market and utilise AI for every personaladviser’s interaction has the potential to transform the mortgage experience, which is a key life decision.
“I look forward to working with the talented team at Pivotal to establish the UK’s trusted mortgage adviser of choice.”
Since inception, Pivotal has completed 19 acquisitions and now employs more than 500 advisers, giving it one of the largest mortgage adviser networks in the UK.
