LonRes launches messaging tool for off-market deals

LonRes has launched a new instant messaging service aimed at improving communication between agents operating in the prime property market.

The business-to-business trading platform said the new tool, called Network Messenger, allows subscribers to communicate directly with other LonRes members in a secure, encrypted environment designed specifically for property transactions.
The service enables selling, letting and buying agents to create their own private groups based on geography or professional relationships, making it easier to share information about instructions, buyers and off-market opportunities.

Agents can also send messages to the entire LonRes subscriber base, allowing them to promote new listings, circulate client requirements or share documents such as brochures and PDFs with other members of the network.

QUICKER COLLABORATION

LonRes says the system is designed to make collaboration quicker and more flexible, particularly in the prime and super-prime markets where deals are often handled discreetly and information is shared within trusted circles.

Chris Welch (main picture, inset), Sales Director at LonRes, says the new tool builds on the scale of the platform’s existing network.

“LonRes has some 5,000 registered users, and Network Messenger harnesses the power of arguably one of the largest central London property networks. Essentially the service puts the agent in control – they decide how much information they want to share with who.

“Subscribers must meet strict qualification criteria in order to join LonRes and be AML compliant too. This means that agents using Network Messenger are doing so safe in the knowledge that they’re operating in what is already a trusted environment.”

NOT JUST LONDON

He adds that the system is designed to work across the wider market, not just central London.

“Network Messenger works for all LonRes subscribers, be they based in prime London or further afield. It can facilitate moves within the capital, from London to the country or the country to London and in the future overseas too.”

The messaging service is currently available on desktop, with a mobile version expected to follow.
