Lomond has strengthened its position in the capital’s property market with the acquisition of Hamnett & Ganpot, a boutique agency with a well-established presence in the Battersea waterside area.
The move marks another step in the group’s strategic expansion across key London locations.
The acquisition follows Lomond’s high-profile purchase of Kinleigh Folkard & Hayward (KFH) at the close of 2024, signalling its intent to build a dominant market presence by combining scale with specialist expertise.
Founded 17 years ago by property professionals Oliver Hamnett and James Ganpot, the agency has developed a strong foothold in Battersea, driven by organic growth and a reputation for outstanding client service.
LONG-TERM STRATEGY
Originally based on Lots Road in Fulham, the firm gradually shifted its focus eastwards, adapting to the dynamic evolution of the Battersea market, particularly along the Thames waterfront.
The acquisition supports Lomond’s long-term strategy of targeting high-demand, high-growth areas, with Battersea standing out due to major regeneration projects such as the Battersea Power Station development and a wave of new residential schemes reshaping the local landscape.
LEADERSHIP PERSPECTIVES
John Ennis (main picture), CRO of Lomond, says: “Our acquisition strategy is exemplified by the complementary nature of these recent deals – pairing the scale and heritage of KFH with the agility and specialist expertise of Hamnett & Ganpot.
“This acquisition strengthens our foothold in a pivotal London location, and we remain committed to partnering with businesses that align with our values and meet our high operational standards.”
SERVICE EXCELLENCE

Oliver Hamnett, Co-Founder of Hamnett & Ganpot, says: “After 17 years of building a business that prioritises long-term client relationships, we are delighted to hand the reins to Lomond, a company that shares our commitment to service excellence.”
James Ganpot, Co-Founder of Hamnett & Ganpot, adds: “After many fulfilling years with Hamnett & Ganpot, my focus is now shifting towards the developer and construction sector. I look forward to new challenges while remaining in the industry, and I’m confident that our clients are in the best possible hands.”
