Lomond’s latest acquisition is located north of the border once again, following the purchase of Margaret Duffus Leasing in the summer.
The Group’s latest lettings portfolio purchase is that of Edinburgh’s longest-established lettings agent, Littlejohns, which will be incorporated into operations at DJ Alexander, Lomond’s flagship brand in the region.
Littlejohns has operated from several locations throughout the City of Edinburgh over the years, servicing landlords and tenants since 1879.
Littlejohns has been defined by providing clients with quality service while conserving a personal touch. Under Lomond’s ownership and with the expertise and credentials of DJ Alexander, landlords can expect the same high standard of service to which they are accustomed.
PROUD HERITAGE
This deal reinforces Lomond’s dedication to partnering with the very best agencies in our regions. Littlejohns proud heritage and strong local presence make it the ideal match for DJ Alexander and the Group’s wider capabilities will equip clients for the demands of the modern lettings landscape.
David Alexander (main picture, inset), Chief Revenue Officer of Lomond, says: “Having known the owners and team at Littlejohns for many years, I’ve always been impressed by how they’ve grown while maintaining that personal, people-first approach to business.
“It’s a real privilege to continue their legacy and build on such a proud history, with values that align so closely to our own at DJ Alexander.”
RIGHT TIME
Ian Shand, Owner of Littlejohns, adds: “Owning this well-established business for the past 25 years has been incredibly rewarding.
“Building lasting relationships with both our team and our clients has always been at the heart of our success and growth.
“This now feels like the right time to retire and pass the business to a person and organisation we trust to care for our clients as we have.
“In an evolving legislative landscape, we are confident their needs will be best served by a larger group with the scale, technology and expertise to support them into the future.”
