LIS Media has acquired consumer advice website Propertychecklists.co.uk from Designs on Property, the business founded by property commentator Kate Faulkner OBE.
The deal brings the well-known property information platform into the LIS Media group, which owns the National Landlord Investment Show along with several landlord and property media brands including Landlord Investor Magazine, Property Notify and UK Property News.
As part of the agreement, Faulkner will join LIS Media as property market analyst, contributing across the company’s events, publications and digital channels. She will continue to run her consultancy, Designs on Property Ltd, and retain her existing clients.
The companies said the move reflects a shared focus on improving access to reliable property market information for landlords, investors and consumers.
CONNECTED COMMUNITY
LIS Media founders Steve and Tracey Hanbury say the two businesses had worked together for more than a decade.
“We have worked with Kate ever since we started doing shows for landlords in Croydon in 2013, and are absolutely delighted to welcome her to our team. Having a property expert like Kate on board means we can continue to provide excellent, free education about the property market to our community of landlords, investors and developers.”
And they add: “Connecting our community with the experts and expert content from PropertyChecklists.co.uk is at the core of what we do across all our platforms, in-person and digitally.”
ANALYSIS AND COMMUNICATION

Faulkner says the sale will allow her to focus more on analysis and communication rather than running the platform day to day.
“Working closely with the fantastic LIS team means I can focus on what I do best: analysing, explaining and presenting property market data.
“Their expertise in producing, designing and delivering content from shows to digital media channels means I no longer have to manage all the work behind the scenes.
“It allows the research to be presented professionally and reach a far wider audience than I could achieve on my own.”
Through LIS Media’s channels, the Propertychecklists content is expected to reach tens of thousands of landlords, investors and property professionals through events, publications and online platforms.
