Lettspay launches Notes and Tasks feature to boost agent productivity

Client accounting platform Lettspay has rolled out a new Notes and Tasks feature, designed to help letting agents manage their workload more efficiently as compliance demands continue to grow.

The fintech, which expects to process more than £1.5 billion in rental payments during 2025, says that the update was built in response to direct feedback from agents.
The feature allows users to create and manage tasks – such as rent reviews, gas safety checks or inspections – and leave internal notes for colleagues across the platform.

Whether it’s a specific property, a tenancy, a contractor or a landlord profile, the goal is to keep everything in one place and avoid switching between systems or relying on external task management tools.

COMPLIANCE CHALLENGES

Lettspay says the launch couldn’t be better timed. With the Renters’ Rights Bill expected to become law later this year, agents face new compliance challenges – including tighter rules around Section 13 rent increase notices, which can only be issued once per year and require two months’ notice. A centralised tasking system could help reduce the risk of key actions being missed.

Importantly, the new functionality is embedded within Lettspay’s client accounting platform — meaning it sits alongside features like automated reconciliation, audit trails and rent chasing, offering functionality that standard CRMs don’t.

PRODUCTIVE ENVIRONMENT

Matt Gibbard (main picture), Commercial Director at Lettspay, says: “Our research and feedback has shown that whilst most agents use a CRM system, this is largely focused on the ‘front office’ elements of prospecting, listing and pre-tenancy work and usually accessed by the negotiating team.

“Property management and client accounting tasks are usually the domain of a separate ‘back office’ team who have told us that the combination of our client accounting functionality with Notes and Tasks is providing them with a much more productive operating environment.”
