Chloe Ward, Product Manager at EG Propertylink, says: “These insights into energy efficiency underscore the importance of updating and insulating homes across the UK, particularly as energy costs continue to rise.

“In areas like the Isles of Scilly and Gwynedd, where fewer than a quarter of homes are rated at band C or above, residents are more vulnerable to the impact of energy price hikes.

“Improving energy efficiency not only helps to lower household bills but also contributes to reducing carbon emissions and promoting a more sustainable future.

“Initiatives that support insulation improvements and other efficiency upgrades could make a substantial difference for residents, especially in regions with older housing stock.”
