Housing Hand posts double-digit growth

Housing Hand has reported another year of strong growth, posting a second consecutive year of double-digit revenue increases despite ongoing uncertainty across the UK rental market.

The rental services provider recorded revenues of £4.2m in the year to June 2025, up 37.7% on the previous year. This follows growth of 49% in 2023-24, underlining sustained momentum at a time when many parts of the private rented sector are under pressure.
The company says tighter collaboration with partners, continued product innovation and fast payout times have all helped drive performance, alongside its track record of settling 100% of all valid claims.

Since July 2021, Housing Hand has settled more than £5.7m of claims, with £1.6m resolved through mediation before payout was required.

DIGITAL BOOST

Growth has also been supported by improvements to its digital infrastructure, including the testing of a new Accommodation Provider Portal, which has reduced average payout times from 25–28 days to between 21 and 27 days.

Housing Hand works across a broad spectrum of the rental sector, supporting HMOs, purpose-built student accommodation, build-to-rent operators, universities and letting agents.

Over the past year, it has introduced new services aimed at helping accommodation providers adapt to changes introduced by the Renters’ Rights Act, including A-Void™, a product designed to mitigate the impact of students leaving accommodation early.

RENTER WELLBEING

The firm has also expanded its focus on renter wellbeing. Insights from its Understanding Renters in 2025 report, based on responses from around 1,700 renters, highlighted gaps in financial resilience and wellbeing.

This led to the launch of a free digital health and wellbeing service for renters using Housing Hand as a guarantor, delivered in partnership with HealthHero and Gallagher UK.

Early data shows strong uptake, with renters accessing the service outside traditional hours, including evenings and weekends. The majority of appointments have resulted in agreed care plans, demonstrating what Housing Hand describes as meaningful early impact.

Looking ahead, the business says further innovations are planned for 2026, alongside continued expansion in support of the UK’s international student rental market.
