Hamptons is set to return to the RHS Chelsea Flower Show in May as it continues to align its brand with evolving urban living trends.
The agency will sponsor The Transient Garden, a balcony garden designed by Rebecca Lloyd Jones and built by Garden Club London, marking Hamptons’ fourth collaboration with the team following last year’s Gold Medal win.
The installation will focus on the realities of modern urban living, where renters and homeowners alike are increasingly occupying smaller, more flexible spaces and moving more frequently.
Designed to reflect this shift, the garden showcases how outdoor space can be both adaptable and portable, with features including modular planters, movable furniture and vertical planting to maximise compact balconies.
LIFESTYLE-LED FEATURES
The concept taps into a growing trend among buyers and renters prioritising lifestyle-led features – particularly access to outdoor space – even in smaller homes and city locations.
The garden will be unveiled on press day on 18 May, ahead of the show opening to the public from 19–23 May at the Royal Hospital Chelsea.

Rebecca Lloyd Jones, Garden Club London Designer of The Transient Garden, says: “In today’s world, people move frequently whether it be for work or lifestyle changes, often living in temporary, or compact spaces.
“I wanted to show that a beautiful, productive garden can still be part of that lifestyle and challenge the idea that a garden has to be permanent to be meaningful.
“The Transient Garden enables people to create a sense of continuity and wellbeing, by encouraging them to plant and nurture those plants and carry them from one home to the next.”
URBAN LIVING REALITY

Mary Beeton, Interim Managing Director at Hamptons, adds: “We’re thrilled to be returning to the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, hot on the heels of our Gold Medal win last year – this time, with Rebecca’s The Transient Garden.
“This year we will showcase how a garden can be created and enjoyed without permanence in mind – a space designed to adapt, evolve and move with you. Reflecting the realities of urban living, this garden shows how even the smallest spaces can be transformative.
“This marks our fourth collaboration with Garden Club London at Chelsea Flower Show – an award-winning team known for creating innovative, mesmerising gardens. This year is no exception, with a clever design that reimagines how balcony spaces can be transformed.”
